As a Full-Stack Developer and UX designer, I approach problems from a combined perspective, crafting intuitive and effective solutions.

Currently consulting with a startup redesigning and rebuilding their user experience and web app.

In my free time, I'm delving into GSAP, excited to bring a new dimension of dynamic interactive animations to future projects.

_Projects

Applaudify - Achieve. Applaud.

_Design Figma

_Development TypeScript • Next.js • Tailwindcss • FramerMotion • Prisma • Supabase

Applaudify enhances professional recognition for freelancers, bridging the gap in digital workspaces. It celebrates the human element in projects, allowing freelancers to showcase experience, gather endorsements, and gain feedback. The app hopes to transform freelance transactions into a community-driven experience, highlighting individual contributions. The aim is to build a space for genuine appreciation from clients and peers.

The app is actively being improved both on design and features, it'd be greatly appreciated if you would test it out and leave any thoughts on applaudify.dev.

Rob Wegh - Artist Portfolio

_Design Figma

_Development TypeScript • Next.js • Tailwindcss • FramerMotion • Contentful

The initial release is now live, showcasing the artistry of a sculptor. Up next, we're planning animation design and implementation using Figma and GSAP. Drawing inspiration from artist's work, I crafted the concept and frames in Figma. The artist's work take center stage with minimal textual content. The dot adds vibrancy, echoing art show practices. Given the infrequent need for content updates and the inclusion of sizeable assets, I've opted to leverage the server-side rendering in Nextjs. Contentful enables the client to manage and refresh the site's content independently.

StockSense - Stock Trading Playground App

_Design Figma

_Development TypeScript • Next.js • NextAuth • CSS • ApexChart • TwelveData • MongoDB • Node.js

StockSense is a stock trading simulation app, born from an 8-day hackathon alongside my backend expert partner, Lee Sheppard. Aimed at helping beginners understand stock trading, our app integrates real-time data from Twelve Data and displays it with ApexChart. I led the design in Figma and front-end development in Next.js, ensuring a polished UI and efficient performance. Google and GitHub logins, managed by NextAuth, enhance user experience. Lee handled the MongoDB setup and back-end tasks. Though our project began collaboratively, we split responsibilities in the final 3 days to capitalize on our individual strengths. Lee's _Github

GROW - Plant Care Tracking App

_Design Miro

_Development TypeScript • React • Express.js • MongoDB • Node.js

Grow was conceived during a 24-hour hackday at SALT. Initial ideas were sketched out quickly in Miro, most of the designs decisions are applied on the go. Built on the MERN stack, Grow offers users a straightforward way to track their plant care routine. Users can add plants, set their watering and sunlight needs, and jot down notes. I really enjoyed this project. After receiving some feedback, I'm planning to expand its scope to include adding user profiles, watering reminders, and profile sharing, aiming to make it a consistently useful app for plant enthusiasts.

GREENLY - UX/UI Rebranding

_Design  Figma

Greenly's rebranding exercise was a race against time, challenging us to refine the user signup flow in just 24 hours. It was a group exercise we did in SALT. The primary focus? Transparency. We highlighted the benefits users would gain and detailed each tier distinctly. With a streamlined signing process, we integrated autofill features, ensuring efficiency. Our refined error prompts are now more intuitive, and we've added a concise contract summary preceding payment—ensuring clarity and confidence at every step.  We have also redesigned the app visually, make it more visually appealing for higher brand engagement.

WORKSHOP - Personalised Art Class UX Study

_Design Figma • Photoshop

This project allowed me to envision a digital bridge connecting learners to expert fine art instructors. After hypothesis, validating and revising after user interviews. Followed by a few arounds of iterations after user testing and feedback from UX professionals, I have finalised the first prototype here. This responsive web app promises immersive, high-quality experiences through tailored small-scale classes and dedicated 1-on-1 sessions. Privacy and safety in communication is our priority, complemented by a minimalistic design that foregrounds course content. Our success? The consistent growth of our active user base and their positive feedback.
